On Monday, April 24th our Finnish team had the pleasure of hosting super exciting and long anticipated launch event in honor of the Kaipule platform relaunch and their local operation kickoff. Guests were invited to the wonderful Maria01 tech community house, to celebrate global innovation and enjoy the company of other cutting edge innovators and bright minds.
Our COO, Lee Greene opened with a brief introduction to our story & vision and announced the official platform relaunch. In his opening remarks he invited local entrepreneurs to join over 6000 leading edge companies we already have on board, and provided the local audience with a sneak peek to Kaipule’s unique features:
“We have 55 professional Chinese associates engaged in the content translation workflow. Since we’ve launched our platform, they have masterly processed over 10,000 company profiles & updates, messages, and product catalogs”
Following the introduction, Jiayan Zhong, Kaipule’s VP in charge of the operation in Finland provided our guests with some essential information about the Chinese market and the opportunities this commercial ecosystem holds for Finnish entrepreneurs. He talked about the common uncertainties western growth seekers face while considering opportunities in the Chinese market, and accented the current profitable state of this market – especially for western companies:
“From strategic aspects, Finland is good at value chain innovation, while China is a hotbed for business model innovation. We are here to combine strengths from both sides that’s why our clients are mainly public companies, dollar funds and governments who can get investments out”
Last, but definitely not least our guest speaker Peter Vesterbacka (Co-Founder of Lightneer & Rovio’s Former CMO) hit the stage to share some dear insights about market entry and business operation in China. With over 20 years of experience and deep understanding of the local business setting, Peter efficiently covered the major aspects to note while considering this unique market:
“The Chinese market is not that difficult, it’s just different. Foreign companies should learn about Chinese culture and language to advance their efforts, establish strategic investments, and search out local partners in China. These are achievable, and Kaipule is a great tool that helps you to overcome the common obstacles”
A big thank you goes to over one hundred guests who attended, mingled and contributed to this awe-spiring experience. And as we look forward to more great moments to come.. We suggest you guys stay tuned as you certainly don’t want to miss out our upcoming events!
